Split is a great base to explore Southern Croatia, and from the port, you can easily go to the nearby islands. However, if you travel to Split for a weekend, it’s recommended to follow a Split itinerary to make the most out of your stay!
Old Split
Old Split is the oldest district in town and has a lot of exciting history and sites to explore. Here you can walk around and look at cool ruins, the tall bell tower, historic buildings and see Diocletian’s ancient Roman palaces. It’s very nice to stroll through the district’s narrow streets and look at old architecture, peeking in modern shops and eat a good meal at one of the old town’s restaurants.
You’ll find entertainment behind every corner with both shopping, attractions, and street performers showing off their talents. A trip to Split is not complete without having visited the old town at least once.
Marjan
To get up to Marjan, you have to either hike or go there by train. Once at the top of the park awaits a peaceful and harmonious environment that makes you relax while enjoying the breathtaking view of Split.

Hvar is one of Croatia’s most popular destinations, and every year this island is visited by both party people, sun seekers, and those who just enjoy life. On Hvar, there are several excellent beaches, both quiet ones and beaches with more action, day parties and beach clubs. Hvar is incredibly beautiful and offers something that suits all ages and interests.
