Beaches
Cleopatra Beach is a favorite beach with fine sand and a length of approximately 2 kilometers. Something that can be useful to know here is that the seabed can be pretty steep, and therefore it’s not so suitable for children. A more child-friendly beach in Alanya is the Keykubat Beach which is shallow. Both of the beaches have excellent facilities, and there are also plenty of activities and places to both eat and buy drinks at.
Outside Alanya lies more beaches that are quieter and less visited than Cleopatra and Keykubat. Another travel advice for beaches in Alanya is to get to the nearby resort of Side, which has stunning golden beaches.

Take care of your body and soul and visit the hammam. We recommend Cleopatra Turkish Bath that has a good standard and nice treatments. Hammam is centrally located and easy to find. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is very friendly.

The shopping in Turkey is an exceptional experience, and Alanya is no exception. Here, you can practice your bargain skills on local handicrafts and souvenirs. An exciting experience that you don’t get in other countries in Europe. The best time to visit the bazaar is around in the evenings when the stores and markets are as most vibrant and colorful.
Pamukkale
About 34 (European) miles away from Alanya lies the World Heritage Site Pamukkale, which consists of limestone cliffs with hot water that’s come up from the underworld. Above Pamukkale lies the ancient city of Hierapolis. Around Pamukkale, you’ll find even more thermal baths, and the most famous one is Cleopatra’s pool. In this pool, the Egyptian queen Cleopatra swam for over 2000 years ago, and its water is also known to be rich in minerals that heal both your body and soul.

Dimcay
Go on an excursion along the river and enjoy the green and peaceful nature of Turkey. Along the river, you get to see wild animals such as turtles, birds and much more. An excursion to Dimcay is ideal if it’s hot outside because you’ll get cooled down by the river.
Dim Cave
Din Dave is a cave located in a valley along the Dim River. The cave is 360 meters long and is considered one of Turkey’s most impressive caves. A really cool experience, and also one of the best things to do in Alanya!
The Red Tower – Kizil Kule
Kizil Kule is a 33-meter high octagon-shaped tower that offers a fantastic view of the city. The tower was built in 1226 and was used as a defense against attackers. Today the tower is a tourist attraction which showcases historical exhibits on the first floor and also offers visitors to go up to the top to enjoy the beautiful view.
Alanya Kalesi
Explore the ancient castle in Alanya and enjoy the stunning views of the city. They don’t really know exactly when it was built, but they think it was around 1200, and they know that the Romans used to live in the castle. The castle is located 250 meters above sea level, and on the way up lies several cafes and restaurants for you to have a refreshing drink or a light meal!
