Krabi is well known for its beaches and its beautiful scenery. The Thung Teao Forest is no exception when it comes to beautiful nature since it’s a biodiversity with many different animal species. Here there are also natural walking trails and a beautiful lagoon.

Close to Krabi lies several small islands, where some of the most famous are Koh Poda, Koh Gai, Koh Tub and Koh Mor. If you go on a guided island tour, they often stop at the famous Phra Nang Lagoon – which is a place that’s not possible to reach by car.

Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple)

Wat Tham Suea, also known as the Tiger Cave Temple, is a Buddhist temple located in the northeastern part of Krabi. This is actually one of the most sacred sites in the province and is famous for its tall Buddha statues and tiger paw prints that can be found inside the cave. To reach the summit, you have to walk up steep stair steps – so make sure to bring a good pair of shoes and a big bottle of water!

Railay Beach

A real paradise beach that’s considered to be one of Thailand’s most beautiful beaches. A visit to Railay Beach is a must when it comes to things to do in Krabi. It’s mainly the western side of the beach you should visit since the east side is covered my mangrove forest to a large part.

Phra Nang Lagoon

A beautiful lagoon located near Phra Nang Beach. The Phra Nang Lagoon is a little neglected and here awaits white sand and water that has a green/blue color. According to the legend, the Princess Phra Nang lives in the cave at Phra Nang Lagoon, and local fishers have long given offerings to the cave to ensure that they’re protected out at sea. The cave is a sacred place for the Thais, so remember to show respect when visiting the Phra Nang Lagoon and the cave.

Snorkeling

The crystal clear water along with the ambient wildlife under the sea provides perfect opportunities for a snorkeling trip. Equipment is available to buy or rent at several places around Krabi.

Phi Phi Islands

The Phi Phi Islands are one of the most famous groups of islands in the world. The main island of Phi Phi Island has many visitors every day, and during the evenings this place turns into a real party place.

However, there are lots of fun things to do in Phi Phi islands and it’s easily one of the best day trips to make from Krabi.
