Are you traveling to Mykonos? Here’s a list of our favorite attractions and the top 10 things to do in Mykonos as a tourist!

Mykonos is a long-time favorite for jet setters and couples seeking a luxurious getaway. In recent years it has also become a trendy destination to go for Instagrammers and girl trips.

Thanks to its lovely beaches, picturesque streets and fun nightlife it’s definitely one of the best girls trip destinations in Europe. Mykonos Town is the crown jewel of the island and attracts millions of visitors every year.

Nightlife

Many people who think of Mykonos, imagine that the Greek island is full off fantastic nightlife and that luxury and glamor are in focus. We can assure you that this image of Mykonos is true (but the island has still so much more than that to offer than that).

Mykonos is like Ibiza; the only difference is that it lies in Greece. Large nightclubs, trendy bars, celebrities, jet-setters and of course world famous DJ’s playing their music.

If you feel like having a little quieter evening, there are plenty of small taverns and restaurants where you can drink delicious cocktails and have a lovely night!

Mykonos Town

The architecture of Mykonos architecture is typical Greek with classic white and blue houses. Wander around the city and all the narrow streets. Explore all the small boutiques and stroll along the beach.

Little Venice

Little Venice is a cozy and picturesque neighborhood in Mykonos Town, located right next to the waterfront. Here you’ll find everything you need for a romantic evening together with your special someone. The sunset is amazing, so make sure to watch it!

Rent a scooter

Mykonos is a relatively large island, but small enough to be fun to explore by scooter. People always warn tourists not to drive in the Greek traffic, and even though it might be a little more hectic than other countries in Europe, it’s actually not that bad. Just make sure to pay attention to other scooters and cars, and you’ll be fine!

To explore Mykonos with a moped is something that we highly recommend. Drive around and go to random locations and discover all small Greek villages and the beautiful nature of the island. Drive to secluded beaches and spend your day in peace and quiet!

Agios Sostis Beach

This beach is considered by many to be the nicest and quietest beaches of Mykonos. Agios Sostis Beach is located in the northern part of the island, and here awaits you an excellent sandy beach with crystal clear waters!

Take a selfie with the Pelican PĂ©tros

This is one tough bird! After the flock had left PĂ©tros during the 1950s, PĂ©tros he Pelican was looked after by local fishermen. He became the mascot of Mykonos, and even after his death, the legend of PĂ©tros is still alive.

So make sure you get a picture together with this local hero!
