Guide to La Gomera by Finally Lost<\/a><\/p>\nGarajonay National Park<\/h2>\n
La Gomera’s most famous landmark offers great hiking and beautiful scenery. In the Garajonay National Park, vegetation is dense, and here you’ll find the oldest virgin forests and the cleanest air in Europe. The park also contains natural sources of drinkable water.<\/p>\n
Dolphin- and whale watching<\/h2>\n
Several times during the year you can go out on a dolphin- and whale-watching off La Gomera. A popular excursion where you get the chance to come close to the giants of the ocean and our beloved dolphins.<\/p>\n
Bosque del Cedro<\/h2>\n
A rainforest which is part of the National Park Garonay. Bosque del Cedro is located in a particular area in the northeast, bordering the National Park and the town of Hermigua. In the rainforest, you’ll find a stream where water flows all year round. Here one can enjoy several beautiful hiking trails and scenic areas.<\/p>\n
Valle Gran Rey<\/h2>\n
A cozy little place where the whale-watching is based. Here there are also great hiking trails and an abundant plant & bird life. Along the valley’s walls, one can also see the large banana plantations. Valle Gran Rey is a picturesque place that’s well worth visiting during your stay on La Gomera.<\/p>\n
Hiking<\/h2>\n
La Gomera is a nature lover’s paradise. The whole island is full of trails of different difficulty levels. Everywhere you’ll find lush nature that gives a feeling of adventure while hiking. La Gomera is also one of the Canary Islands least exploited islands, where many areas of the island are still wild.<\/p>\n

Valle de Hermigua<\/h2>\n
Hermigua Valley is a beautiful area of La Gomera where the small town of Hermigua is located. Here are several excellent hiking trails with stunning views of the countryside. In Hermigua, you have the chance to experience the local side of La Gomera.<\/p>\n
San Sebasti\u00e1n<\/h2>\n
This city was once not like any city in the world; this was in fact, Christopher Columbus last outpost before he went away to America. The house where he lived is still there today and is a popular attraction in La Gomera. In the old town, lies several preserved buildings from the time of Christopher Columbus.<\/p>\n
The entire city of San Sebastian has a genuine feel to it, and besides a rich history, there are also two beautiful beaches in the city; Playa de La Sebasti\u00e1n, and Playa de la Cueva.<\/p>\n
Piscina Natural<\/h2>\n
One of the best things to do in La Gomera is to bathe in this natural swimming pool with stunning views of the sea and Tenerife. Piscina Natural is located in the town of Hermigua and is well worth a visit.<\/p>\n
Golfing<\/h2>\n
It’s not only nature lovers who come to La Gomera, but there’s also several golfers coming here to play on the golf course Tecina. From this golf course, you get a great view of the Atlantic Ocean and Mt. Teide on Tenerife. The golf course is 6.2 kilometers long and has a medium level of difficulty.<\/p>\n
Playa de La Caleta<\/h2>\n
Playa de La Caleta is the north coast’s finest beach and a beautiful place to spend your day. The beach lies in a sheltered cove and during summer, fresh fish and delicious drinks are served in a small bar located on the beach.
