Isla Margarita<\/h2>\n

Isla de Margarita is located about two hours off the coast of Venezuela and is the largest island of the Venezuelan archipelago. The island has a rich history and was inhabited before the arrival of Christopher Columbus Guaiqueries; the people of Isla Margarita\u00a0were sadly beslaved after welcoming the Spaniards with open arms.<\/p>\n

When the Spaniards found the gems on the island, the pirates was led to the island, to plunder the Spanish ships. As more and more pirates came to Isla Margarita, many forts were built to defend themselves, and today, many of them still stand.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, Isla Margarita is known for being a party island with paradise beaches, attracting thousands of visitors each year.<\/p>\n

Merida Cable car<\/h2>\n

In Venezuela, specifically in Merida, you’ll find the world’s highest and second longest funicular. Merida’s cable car stretches 12.5 kilometers and goes a maximum of 4765 meters up\u00a0above the ground.<\/p>\n

Mount Roraima<\/h2>\n

High above the clouds, you’ll be able to see the towering mountain, Mount Roraima. A beautiful mountain that offers a great experience for those who enjoy nature. It’s possible to fly over it, but also to get there by foot, which has made Mount Roraima into a popular destination for both hikers and backpackers.<\/p>\n

Los Roques National Park<\/h2>\n

This national park is located in the northern part of Venezuela and is the largest marine park in the Caribbean Sea. Los Roques consists of several islands, all of them have lovely beaches and great areas of untouched coral reefs.<\/p>\n

The main island of Gran Roque has a few smaller hotels that are ideal for exploring Los Roques. The crystal clear water offers a comfortable temperature and is, therefore, a perfect place for both diving and snorkeling.<\/p>\n

Los Llanos<\/h2>\n

Los Llanos runs between Venezuela and Colombia and sometimes compared to Serengeti in Tanzania. The area mostly consists of vast grasslands. During the dry season, many animals are forced to the same place to find water, and that’s when it’s the best time to see all of the animals at the same time. During the rainy season (May to October) the area turns into a paradise for bird watchers.<\/p>\n

Besides being the last stronghold of the Orinoco crocodile, you’ll also be able to see animals like anacondas,\u00a0capybaras, jaguars and caimans\u00a0in the area.<\/p>\n

Choroni<\/h2>\n

Choroni is perhaps best known for having Venezuela’s finest Caribbean beaches, but here you also get an excellent opportunity to explore the wildlife of the National Park, Henri Pittier. The national park is home to monkeys, snakes, deer and over 500 bird species and around 200 butterfly species. However, Choroni is a charming town with a lovely river and beautiful colonial houses.<\/p>\n

Morrocoy National Park<\/h2>\n

Beautiful Morrocoy is located in northeastern Venezuela and consists of mangroves, islands, and bays with fantastic beaches. Around Morrocoy live both dolphins, sea turtles, flamingos, pelicans and many other animals. Around the coral reefs, you’ll find tropical fishes in abundance, so both snorkeling and diving are perfect here.<\/p>\n

Discover the Animals of Orinoco<\/h2>\n

The great Orinoco River meets the Atlantic Ocean with a fan-shaped delta that’s known as the Orinoco. Around this Delta, you’ll find a diverse wildlife. Over 60 different tributaries are homes to animals like caimans, catfishes, and piranhas. And in the jungle surrounding the rivers lives animals like pumas, parrots, hummingbirds, howler monkeys, along with thousands of other exotic species.<\/p>\n

The best way to discover the Orinoco Delta is by canoe or go camping with the indigenous people,\u00a0also known as the Warao.<\/p>\n

Cayo Crasqui and Cayo de Agua<\/h2>\n

If you’re a beach-lover, then this is one of the best things to do in Venezuela for you. Cayo Crasqui and Cayo de Agua is two fantastic beaches in Los Roques National Park. The beaches are said to be two of the world’s most beautiful beaches, and you’ll not find something closer to paradise than this.<\/p>\n

Angel Falls<\/h2>\n

Another natural attraction in Venezuela that offers a unique experience is Angel Falls, the world’s highest waterfall. The total height is 979 meters, with a free fall of 807 meters.
