Oktoberfest<\/h2>\n

If you like to party, and love to drink beer – then you should head to Munich in late September\/early October. It’s during that time the annual Oktoberfest beer festival is held.<\/p>\n

Oktoberfest is the world’s largest beer festival and takes place in Munich, Germany. During this festival, millions of visitors come to drink beer and party. For the festival, they brew a special Oktoberfest Beer that they serve in liter pitchers in the various tents around the festival area.<\/p>\n

People come here to drink delicious beer, enjoy friendly company, meet new people and have an excellent time at the famous Oktoberfest.<\/p>\n

Englischer Garten<\/h2>\n

The English Garden is like the city’s own oasis of greenery. If you feel like taking a break from the city pulse, then it’s here you should go for a bit of relaxation and tranquility.<\/p>\n

Here comes both tourists and locals to sunbathe, swim, walk, eat, surf, feed ducks or just relax. Visiting the Englischer Garten is also one of the best things to do in Munich with kids<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Marienplatz<\/h2>\n

Right in the middle of Munich lies Marienplatz, which is the heart of the old town. On this square, there’s always hustle and bustle going on, and there’s also a lot of things to both see and do.<\/p>\n

Here you can admire several beautiful old buildings, including the Town Hall that’s an excellent example of stunning architecture. Besides nice architecture you can have a look in fun shops, eat at nice restaurants and visit several cozy caf\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

Viktualienmarkt<\/span><\/h2>\n

Viktualienmarkt is an excellent market that lies close to Marienplatz. The market sells fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and cheese. There are also some good restaurants around, so if you don’t want to buy anything, this place is still worth a visit for a nice meal and a cold beer.<\/p>\n

Deutsches Museum<\/h2>\n

If you’re interested in technical and scientific objects, then you have to visit the Deutsches Museum. The museum’s exhibitions specializing in nothing particular. Instead it has objects of everything from mining to atomic physics. The museum’s 100,000 objects, among many objects, are both important and original, makes the Deutsches Museum to one of the world’s best museums in this category.<\/p>\n

If you have some extra time in Munich, it’s also suggested that you make a visit to Dachau concentration camp<\/a>. It’s located a short drive from the city and although a place of death and grimness, it’s an important history lesson that should never be forgotten. <\/p>\n

Neuschwanstein and Ludwig II<\/h2>\n

If you have more than just one or two days in Munich, then we recommend you to go on a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle<\/a>. Neuschwanstein Castle was the knight Ludwig\u2019s most ambitious project and has today been visited by more than 50 million people. It’s a real classic when it comes to road trips in Germany<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This castle offers incredible architecture and is fairy-tale like, and it has also been a great inspiration when Walt Disney created the Magic Kingdom. <\/p>\n

Nymphenburg Castle<\/h2>\n

Nymphenburg Castle offers beautiful architecture, artworks, and antique furniture. The castle is surrounded by a large park that’s incredibly scenic with its greenery. At the castle, you can also enjoy a nice cup of coffee or a good meal in beautiful surroundings at the castle’s restaurant\/caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Asam’s Church<\/h2>\n

This little church is a must to visit for those who are interested in baroque architecture. Asam’s Church is a Church out of the ordinary with its paintings, artwork, and details. Entrance is free.<\/p>\n

Mike’s Bike Tours<\/h2>\n

Mike’s Bike Tours offer an excellent guided tour where you get to experience the city from a bicycle. The guides are friendly and fun, and will take good care of while showing your around to Munich’s various attractions.<\/p>\n

Munich is home to two of Germany’s most venerable football teams – FC Bayern M\u00fcnchen and 1860 M\u00fcnchen. For soccer fans, FC Bayern M\u00fcnchen needs no presentation, since the team has been dominant in Germany and the world for the last decades.<\/p>\n
